Denison House

Denison House is a wheelchair accessible home in a lovely residential area in Selby. We are a vibrant and spacious, dementia friendly care home and can support up to 31 individuals.

We have 15 ensuite bedrooms, several accessible bathrooms alongside a lift and ramp to assist with movement throughout our home. Some of our ground floor rooms have patio doors leading onto our garden and patio areas.

We work closely with the people we support, the people who are important to them and our local care teams to ensure the people we support at Denison House live well.

Our staff are experienced to support individuals 24 hours a day, in a safe way and we have lots of experience of supporting people who live with the early symptoms of Dementia.

We have large TV Lounges, a large dining room but also areas for quieter times and activities. We are surrounded by lovely gardens and flowers and patios

We have daily activities which include chair exercise classes, motivation groups, singing and dancing sessions, holistic therapy, and arts & crafts, as well as a great outdoor space for residents to relax in.

Denison House itself is within walking distance of Selby town centre, which includes a variety of shops, pubs, and cafes, as well as an open market every Monday. Several parks, a large library, a bus station, and train station are situated nearby.

We appreciate looking for care is a stressful time, and you will no doubt have lots of questions. We ensure we carry out an assessment to get to know the people who are coming to live with us so we can meet their needs and wishes. We can offer safe visits or virtual tours to help you decide whether Denison House is suitable for you or your loved one.

Keeping in touch is important and we ensure whenever possible and safe to do so, we allow visits, phone calls or video calls.

Our spacious facilities are essential to well-being, and we have created an excellent home environment where the people we support can feel relaxed, at home and enjoy a welcoming space for their visitors.
