Dane House is a development of 14 self-contained flats in the centre of Northwich. There is a communal lounge and kitchen for clients to interact and take part in group activities. The building has a communal garden for all to enjoy. The proximity to local shops, transport and leisure facilities is excellent and clients who live here feel part of the community.
Dane House supports clients with complex mental health needs. Dane House is staffed 24 hours and has a sleepover covering the nights. Staff support clients with their individual care needs while promoting independence. Staff will support with daily living tasks such as cleaning, shopping, cooking and encouraging good personal hygiene.
Dane House staff encourage and provide social inclusion opportunities through use of local amenities and services for example day centres, support groups and leisure activities with the intention of integrating clients back into the community. Staff at Dane House have 1-1 time with clients offering emotional support and an opportunity to undertake activities that they enjoy such as lunch, cinema trips, going to the gym, walks and much more. Group activities are a big part of living at Dane House with regular group meals and day trips some past trips have included trips to the beach and visiting the Christmas Markets.
Dane House is run by Jolene Konca. Jolene is a registered Mental Health Nurse with 15 years’ experience. Jolene started her career as a Support Worker in Winsford, she then went on to complete her nurse training and worked for Alternative Futures Group, a 20 bedded rehabilitation unit for 12 years, 9 years as a Staff Nurse and 3 years as a Senior Nurse Practitioner. Jolene joined Solutions in Service in October 2017 as a Deputy Manager at Dane House and is well respected by both staff and clients.
